Yevhen Yankovskyi
Yevhen was born and raised in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. He holds three degrees:
– Master’s in Statistics from Kansas State University (USA)
– Master’s in Economics from Iowa State University (USA)
– Specialist in Engineering Economics from the Ukrainian Maritime Technical University (Mykolaiv, Ukraine)
He spent four years teaching Statistics 101 and Economics 101 as a teaching assistant at U.S. universities and has over 15 years of experience in analytics, machine learning, and programming across the U.S., Canada, and Ukraine.
Yevhen enjoys traveling with his family, hiking, and exploring new places. He values curiosity, openness to learning, and strives to pass those values on to his students.
At St. Michael’s Ukrainian School in San Francisco, Yevhen teaches Ukrainian history, statistics, and introductory Python programming. He sees history not just as dates, but as stories of people and decisions that shaped a nation. His lessons aim to make data meaningful through surveys, analytics, and visualization — and bring programming to life through games, logic, and hands-on tasks. His goal is to make every class engaging, clear, and practical.
