Mariia Mahdysh
Mariia is a dancer at heart, a teacher with love, and a creator driven by inspiration. She was born in the town of Pochaiv, where her passion for movement, music, and the stage first began. Her artistic journey started with the "Veselka" dance ensemble, where every rehearsal felt like a celebration.
She studied choreography and performing arts leadership at the Terebovlia College of Culture. It was there she realized that the stage is her space for creativity — and teaching is her true calling.
Back in Pochaiv, she founded her own dance school — a place where children danced their dreams. For the past 18 years, she has been living in California, sharing her passion with students through dance, theater, gymnastics, and physical education.
At St. Michael’s Ukrainian School in San Francisco, Mariia teaches Ukrainian dance, bringing culture to life through rhythm, movement, and expression. She believes dance is the language of the soul, and every child deserves to feel like an artist. Mariia doesn’t just teach — she lights a spark for the arts in every young heart she meets.
