Olga Zaychykova
Olga was born in the picturesque town of Obukhiv in the Kyiv region of Ukraine. She holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s in Computer Information Systems from Boston University.
Her career spans both education and technology. From 2001 to 2007, she taught mathematics, programming, operating systems, databases, and cybersecurity at Heald College in California. She then spent 13 years at IBM in roles focused on analytics, consulting, and solution development. Since 2020, she has been working as a data analyst at Kaiser Permanente.
Olga has been involved with St. Michael’s Ukrainian School in San Francisco since 2015 — first as a volunteer teacher of Ukrainian language and speech for young children, and since 2023 as the school’s director. She is passionate about creating a learning environment where students feel supported, inspired, and connected to Ukrainian culture. Her dedication to the school is rooted in a deep belief in the power of education and community.
