Svitlana Naida

Svitlana Naida is originally from Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, and is a proud mother of two daughters. Her eldest graduated from St. Michael’s Ukrainian School in San Francisco in 2023, the same year her younger daughter began her first year. For Svitlana and her family, the school is more than just a place of learning — it’s a true Ukrainian family far from home.

Svitlana has been teaching Ukrainian language classes to the youngest students at the school for several years. Her husband, Yurii Naida, taught Ukrainian history at the same school from 2014 to 2023. Together, they’ve actively contributed to the school community with warmth and dedication, helping instill a love for the Ukrainian language and culture.

Professionally, Svitlana is a public relations specialist. In Ukraine, she worked in the advertising field — as an ad manager for the radio station Europa+, in the PR department at Kyiv University of Culture and Arts, and later as a PR manager for a mobile communications company.

She enjoys spending time with her family, meeting kind and inspiring people, photography, reading, baking, traveling, and being in nature. Svitlana is passionate about volunteering and working with children, and believes that each person carries unique value and has the power to make the world better — through words, actions, and kindness.
